Hanna Toft, New Jersey State FFA President, addressed more than 100 of the state’s agriculture leaders during the State Agricultural Convention in East Brunswick on Feb. 9.  Toft, a Dennis Township resident and a Richard Stockton College of New Jersey sophomore, spoke about the need to get the word out that agriculture is extremely important and is a cutting edge industry that needs many skilled workers now and in the future.    Toft urged everyone to promote agriculture and support a more rigorous agriculture curriculum in schools in order to attract today’s youth to the industry.  Toft is a Marine Sciences major and hopes to be an agricultural education teacher.
