Salem County Art League will present a watercolor workshop with artist Marie Natale.
The title of the class is Watercolor Magic: Loose and Luminous and runs for four weeks. It’s an exploration in not simply painting a picture but creating magic with watercolors and taking your work to an entirely new level.
Break away from a tight, laborious style and enjoy the fresh, clean, glowing effects achieved through the direct painting techniques. Natale will guide you on a journey of exploring your inner artist, showing you a fearless method of using the vibrancy of color, and understanding the importance of color theory and value contrasts in your work. This class promises to be fun and informative.
Course date and times are 1-2 p.m. Thursdays in April at the Art Studio, located at the Ware Ag Building, 51 Cheney Road, Woods-
town. The studio will be open for set up and continued painting from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cost is $80 for SCAL members and $100 for guests.
Subject matter is buildings and barns, landscapes, people, and class choice. Bring the supplies you normally use to first class and a bag lunch. Class will have use of kitchen facilities and a microwave.
To register, mail a $20 deposit to the: Salem County Art League, PO Box 432, Woodstown, NJ 08098.
